About Dr. Jerry

Jerry A. Morris, Jr, PsyD, MsPharm, MBA, ABMP, ABPP, ABBHP, NCSP, CCM

Dr. Jerry Morris has a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, a master’s degree in psychology, a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology, a post doctoral degree in clinical psychopharmacology, and an MBA in Management.  He has owned, developed, and operated and managed hospitals and hospital clinical programs in psychiatric hospitals and medical/surgical hospitals, and primary care centers.  He has served on the Council of Representatives and Finance Committee and as the chair of the Hospital and Healthcare Facilities for the largest clinical division in the American Psychological Association (APA), on the Level I and II Task Force on Clinical Psychopharmacology for the APA, and as the Missouri Psychological Association President and Board Member for 8 years.  He has served on the national psychology practitioner’s association (National Alliance of Professional Psychology Providers, www.nappp.org) board for over 10 years.  He is a Past President, and Board Member Emeritus, and Past President of the American Academy of Medical Psychology and American Board of Medical Psychology.  He has served on the American Board of Couples and Family Psychology (ABPP) and he is board certified in this discipline.  Dr. Morris has been the director of psychology doctoral internships, post doctoral psychology residencies, has been faculty on a doctoral program in clinical psychology, and he has published widely in professional books, journals, and trade magazines.  He served on the Missouri Marital and Family Association Board.

Dr. Morris is licensed in Kansas and Missouri, and was previously licensed in Louisiana.

Dr. Morris was on the Clinton Health Policy 500 Council of Doctors and was one of three doctors who edited the report for the library of congress.  Dr. Morris helped author the psychology licensure statute for Missouri with attorney Dan Card, JD, author of Appellate Procedure Books for Missouri.  Dr. Morris was a friend of Sen. Harold Caskey, one of the most renowned legislators and advocates of fairness, humanism, and honest Government in  MO, and his wife Kay Caskey.  Dr. Morris friends, James Bray, PhD, Ron Fox, Ph.D, Stanley Graham, Ph.D, Nick Cummings, PhD, Sc.D, Bob Resnick, Ph.D, Jack Wiggins, Ph.D were Presidents of the American Psychological Association and the national practitioner association (nappp.org), and he served on boards and committiees and task forces with them. His close friends and fellow past board associates and national organizations co-leaders John Caccavale, Ph.D, ABMP, Ward Lawson, Ph.D, ABMP, Jeff Cole, Ph.D, ABMP, Howard Rubin, Ph.D, ABPP, Brian Bigelow, Ph.D, ABMP Susan Barngrover, Ph.D., ABMP, Keith Petrosky, Ph.D., ABMP, Cal Robinson, Psy.D., ABMP, Paul Craig, Ph.D, ABPP, Richard Cox, Ph.D., Betty Cox, Ph.D, Michael Enright, Ph.D, ABPP, Allan Enright, Ph.D, ABPP, all leaders, seminal practitioners and leaders in the Practitioner Movement in American Psychology, and especially Clinical Psychology and Elite Diagnoses and Psychotherapy.  These leaders were essential in the Practitioner Movement in Psychology in America and were respected colleagues and good friends and contributors of many boards, standards, publications, and national psychological efforts.  They changed America.
